Have you seen the exciting new publication by Dr. Janusz Lipiecki and team, Long-term prognosis of patients treated by coronary sinus-based percutaneous annuloplasty: single centre experience, published in ESC Heart Failure 2020? This publication is Cardiac Dimension’s sixth this year! The company continues to release data which confirms the Carillon Mitral Contour System’s importance in the treatment of heart failure patients.

This is the first time Cardiac Dimensions has published data on the echocardiographic effects and patients’ clinical status of the Carillon therapy this far out post-procedure—up to 7.5 years! This data also confirms the excellent survival results for treated patients—out to 6 years with a 60% survival rate. How many other mitral devices have this level of data out 7+ years post-procedure?

The most impactful observations made by Dr. Lipiecki were associated with continued favorable left ventricular remodeling and sustained improvement in clinical status. Left ventricular end-diastolic volume was reduced from 154.0 ± 65.7mL at baseline to 104.5 ± 59.2 mL at the 6 year follow-up (P=0.03) and survivors experienced a significant reduction in heart failure hospitalization after the procedure which was maintained throughout the extended follow-up period up to 7.5 years.

Read on for more interesting highlights related to this defining publication.

We hope the community continues to appreciate this valuable clinical evidence which highlights the sustained value of the Carillon therapy for this patient population.

Cardiac Dimensions congratulates all the authors on this important publication.

Sincerely,

Team Cardiac Dimensions
