LOS ALTOS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–HeartVista, a pioneer in AI-assisted MRI solutions, announced the formation of its Medical and Scientific Advisory Board, including notable thought leaders from Stanford University and the University of Wisconsin.
“The past year was an inflection point for HeartVista, which was full of significant milestones as we received FDA 510(k) clearance for our AI-assisted One Click™ Cardiac Package,” said Itamar Kandel, CEO of HeartVista. “This year, we will continue to progress our MRI software platform and expand its use across additional radiology centers within the US and globally. Our Medical and Scientific Advisory Board will provide strategic direction to our leadership team, enabling us to continue advancing the MRI field.”
HeartVista’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board:
- Garry E. Gold, MD, Professor of Radiology and Vice President of Research and Organization, Stanford University Department of Radiology (Board Chairman)
- Dwight Nishimura, PhD, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University
- John Pauly, PhD, Professor of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University
- Scott Reeder, MD, PhD, Vice Chair of Research and Chief of MRI, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine
- Shreyas Vasanawala, MD, PhD, Professor of Pediatric Radiology, Stanford University School of Medicine.
“Automated, AI-driven prescription, as pioneered by HeartVista will change the way we perform advanced MRI exams, by dramatically reducing exam time, standardizing acquisitions, reducing error and rework, and ultimately improve the patient experience,” said Dr. Scott Reeder, Vice Chair of Research and Chief of MRI, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. He is also the Director of the UW Liver Imaging Research Program, an NIH-funded group that researches new imaging methods to assess liver disease.
“HeartVista has the most innovative, advanced, and seamless MR acquisition technology I have ever seen. They are poised to introduce an era of greatly improved quality and efficiency in acquisition of MR of the heart and other organs,” said Dr. Garry E. Gold, Chairman of HeartVista’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board, and Professor of Radiology and Vice President of Research and Organization, Stanford University Department of Radiology. Dr. Gold has received multiple honors for his work in engineering and radiology, including being named Faculty of the Year for Stanford Radiology in 2013.
Dr. Shreyas Vasanawala, Professor of Pediatric Radiology at Stanford University School of Medicine, stated that “HeartVista’s innovative solutions are poised to democratize MRI.” Dr. Vasanawala, whose research is focused on developing fast and quantitative MRI methods, also serves as the Director of MRI at Stanford Hospital and Clinics and at Stanford Children’s, as well as the Division Chief of Body MRI.
Dr. Dwight Nishimura and Dr. John Pauly are Professors of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, with a focus on medical imaging. Both are active collaborators with the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute and the Stanford Cancer Institute, and are recipients of the Gold Medal from the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, the highest honor that the society awards.
HeartVista will present its One Click™ Cardiac Package at the American College of Cardiology Annual Meeting in Chicago, March 28-30, at Booth #9079.
