Dr. Hector Ferral is a highly experienced interventional radiologist, having been in practice for more than three decades. His medical career started in 1985, when he graduated from the Anahuac University School of Medicine in Naucalpan, Mexico. After an internship and residency at Mexico’s National Institute of Nutrition, he moved to the United States and completed a fellowship in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis.

Dr. Ferral is certified by the American Board of Radiology in both Diagnostic Radiology and in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Among the expert procedures he performs are endovascular repair of the aorta, venous reconstructions, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts, vascular embolization, cancer treatment and inferior vena cava filter removal.

Dr. Ferral served for many years as Professor of Radiology at Rush University, and he has an international reputation as a leading expert in interventional radiology. His dedication and expertise in these fields makes Dr. Hector Ferral a very deserving winner of a 2017 Top Doctor Award.
