TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute has further strengthened its commitment to providing world-class cardiac care by opening its fourth dedicated Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. This state-of-the-art expansion will allow for even more advanced treatment of heart rhythm disorders.
The new EP Lab has a Steris Cleansuite Operating Ceiling System for enhanced air quality and patient safety. The space combines the capabilities of a catheterization lab with those of a surgical suite, enabling a seamless transition between minimally invasive and more complex procedures. This approach allows for shorter hospital stays, faster recovery times, and improved patient outcomes.
“This expansion underscores our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the Tampa Bay community,” said Kenneth Yamamura, MD, FACC, cardiac electrophysiologist at AdventHealth Tampa. “The ability to treat complex heart arrhythmias with minimally invasive techniques is incredibly rewarding for our patients and our team. With this new lab, we can continue to provide leading-edge care and improve the lives of even more individuals.”
By investing in innovative technology and a highly skilled team, Pepin Heart Institute’s cardiac experts are able to offer our patients the best possible outcomes and improve the quality of life for individuals throughout the Tampa Bay region.
