NETANYA, Israel, March 10, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Perflow Medical, an innovative privately held Israel- based neurovascular treatment solutions company, announced today that it has launched the Cascade ™ 17 non-occlusive remodeling network on the European market . Expanding the Cascade family of products, the Cascade 17 optimizes non-occlusive support of tortuous and distal vessel anatomy during coil embolization of smaller vessel intracranial aneurisms. The Cascade 17is the latest addition to Perflow’s portfolio of neurovascular devices based on a new proprietary technology platform, CEREBRAL NET ™, including the Stream ™ dynamic neuro-thromboectomy network (Stream Net). Early clinical experience with the Cascade 17 is extremely promising and further expands the range of cerebral vessels that can now be treated with Perflow’s unique CEREBRAL NET technology. The non-occlusive network design allows for continuous blood flow during cerebral aneurism repair and coil, which maintains adequate perfusion and can improve patient outcomes.
“We are excited to begin 2021 with the launch of the Cascade17,” said Danny Farin , CEO of Perflow Medical. “This important milestone builds on the success of the Cascade family of products and is the first of several exciting product announcements to come, including the Stream17 dynamic neuro-thromboectomy network, as well as other new products for different indications we’re in. currently working.”
The Cascade Net and Stream Net product families are commercially available throughout Europe for the treatment of intracranial aneurysms and acute ischemic strokes, respectively. Perflow products are not yet approved for clinical use within the United States.
